Bratislava will host three global conferences in September, bringing numerous international delegates to the city. These include the Polymer Meeting 15 starting on 4 September, the 2023 IEEE 13th International Conference and the 2023 EMS Annual Meeting of the European Meteorological Society.
Polymer Meeting 15
The Polymer Meeting 15 will be held from the 4th to the 7th of September 2023 in Bratislava. PM15 is mutually organized by the Polymer Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
The event is the continuation of the successful “three rivers” DVSPM-conference series (Danube-Vltava-Sava Polymer Meeting), the important meeting in polymer science in Central Europe, which was preceded by the conferences “Austrian-Slovenian Polymer Meetings”, “Advances in Polymer Science & Technology”, and “Polymer Meetings” originated 25 years ago.
PM15 will provide the opportunity for scientific discussions in all major fields of current polymer science, covering polymer synthesis, testing, characterization and processing, biomaterials, drug carriers, (nano)composites, molecular simulations, energy storage and conversion, biopolymers, polymer recycling, and sustainability aspects.
The 2023 EMS Annual Meeting of the European Meteorological Society
A particular focus of the 2023 Annual Meeting, reflecting the interests and activities of the host institutions in Slovakia, will be on droughts and drought-related challenges. The EMS conference will take place at the University of Economics Bratislava (EUBA), Slovakia.
2023 IEEE 13th International Conference
Between 10 and 15 September 2023, Bratislava will host one of the largest IEEE nanoconferences in Eastern Europe. The prime focus of the Conference is on nanoscale materials with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research exploring and exploiting the unique physical and chemical properties of these materials for practical applications. The conference will take place in the Crowne Plaza Bratislava.
Bratislava’s busy autumn schedule will serve as a welcome boost to the economy of the destination, prompting further interest in the city as a scientific hub in Central Europe.
