Bratislava will once again be alive with a major international event. The 17th annual marathon will be held in the capital of Slovakia with city circle heading through city parts of Old Town, New Town, Ružinov and Petržalka on April 2nd – 3rd, 2022.
Everyone is the winner has been the motto of the Bratislava Marathon since 2014. It highlights the spirit of the event – every participant, regardless of whether they are children, marathon runner or still active seniors, is the winner because what counts is the willingness to push boundaries and step outside one’s comfort zone.
ČSOB Bratislava Marathon is one of the best-known running events in Slovakia. The 17th edition of the event is scheduled for the first weekend in April and the organizers once again promise a wonderful sporting experience for runners and spectators alike. The level of competition has increased year after year and is reflected in the interest of runners from a large number of countries to come to Bratislava.
During the marathon weekend you can choose from ten disciplines. In addition to the main Sunday event of the ČSOB marathon (42,195 km), runners can choose from several other, more traditional disciplines, like Birell 10K run (10kms), Minimarathon (4,2kms), Senior Run & Walk (4,2kms), Turbo TV Kids Race (300m – 800m), Toddlers Race (5m) as well as Bratislava Mile (1,6kms), all starting on 2nd April, Saturday. 3rd April, Sunday is full of running events too! Do not miss Renault Half Marathon (21,098kms), Relay Marathon (42,195kms) and Relay Half Marathon (21,098kms).
At the ČSOB Bratislava Marathon you can also compete for the title of the fastest newcomer. Namely, in the disciplines of marathon, half marathon and running for 10 km. Just tick the “I am newcommer” box when registering. The first three women and the first three men in each discipline will receive interesting giveaways.
For the first time at our event, you can have your name and the final time engraved on the back of your medal after the race! You will have such a beautiful memory of your performance. Participants in the Marathon dicsipline will receive a quality sports t-shirt made of functional material. Gentlemen will receive a gray and ladies a black T-shirt.
Kids will also come into their own. For the youngest a T-shirt and bag are already included in the starting pack. Each boy and girl who reaches the finish line will receive a unique participant medal.
Residents of the capital will also compete for the title. In the disciplines of marathon, half marathon, ten and minimarathon, the organizers will evaluate and reward with giveaway prize the first three women and the first three men who indicate Bratislava as their place of residence in the application form.
