White Night at DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava

Bratislava once again becomes the host of the international contemporary art festival Biela Noc, which annually transforms the city’s night streets into a glowing gallery. This year, the festival has a special atmosphere, celebrating its milestone anniversary. As part of this celebration, the organizers have decided to reprise beloved artworks from previous years, placing them in new areas of the city, beyond the traditional festival routes. One such artwork will be The Moon, a crescent that will light up the outdoor event space of DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava from October 4 to 6, situated on the border of the city’s Nové Mesto and Ružinov districts.

The Moon is a magical light installation that, with its peaceful glow and monumental presence, transports visitors into the enchanting world of childhood fantasy. It evokes memories of fairytales and offers a space for reflection and inspiration. Biela Noc is celebrating a milestone anniversary, and as a gift, it’s presenting a reprise of popular works from previous years, taking us back to childhood and fairytales, say the organizers of the White Night.

The installation is the work of BN Label (SK), an unofficial collective of artists, light designers, graphic designers, and programmers who have been an integral part of White Night since its inception in 2010. This team, which came together thanks to the festival, creates unique site-specific installations every year, specially designed for the city and the event.

Since its foundation, White Night has been focused on supporting contemporary art and making it accessible to the general public. The festival connects local communities with the international art scene and develops new forms of cultural interpretation. It also highlights unconventional spaces and supports the creative industry in cities like Košice and Bratislava. Through its art installations, it sparks discussions about current trends and fosters the public’s relationship with modern art. More information about the festival programme.

DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava has decided to support the festival due to shared values. Supporting the Biela Noc festival is a natural step for us, as we believe in cultural and social responsibility that connects and nurtures local communities. Through this installation, we aim to contribute to unforgettable experiences and strengthen the public’s relationship with contemporary art, said Matej Števove, marketing director of DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava.

During the festival, the hotel will open its outdoor event space to the general public, where The Moon will be exhibited. Visitors are invited to enjoy this artistic experience under the night sky. The hotel will also provide a food truck with street food refreshments.

We believe that the combination of art and great food will bring visitors an extraordinary experience. We look forward to welcoming everyone who spends the evening under the moonlight, added Števove.
