Bratislava’s vintage picnic
Lovers of history and stylish clothes of the period 1900-1950s will once again spread their colorful blankets and picnic baskets on the green meadows of the oldest park in central Europe.
Our grandmother’s blankets, picnic baskets, coffee thermos, badminton and clay balls. Many of us have long forgotten the nostalgia of the past when we still had time for everything. The organizers of this Bratislava old school picnic, which celebrates the way of life of the first half of the 20th century, continue with the tradition in the oldest public park in the Central Europe, Janko Kráľ Orchard.
In the colorful flickering of shadow and sun, you can close your eyes and listen to music from this era – by C. and k. orchestra, Traditional & Revival Band and Fats Jazz Band. With family, friends and loved ones, you will be able to enjoy the day as a moving photo, based on an old book, where everyone is happy and smiling.
There will also be craft demonstrations, a First Czechoslovak Republic fashion show, a dance workshop, a playroom for children, stalls with delicacies and hand-made products.
