The Winter Good Market
On Saturday, December 9th will be the Winter Good Market – christmas lights, gatherings and conversations, laughter and holiday spirit on the Panenská high street hood. This special edition of the Good Market will not only open the doors of the Old Lyceum, but will also connect neighbors from the surrounding area for a winter festival.
The Good Market is one of Bratislava’s most popular and most intense community events – a visit to the Good Market is unmissable when getting to know the city and its residents. It has been enlivening the city’s public spaces since 2011, supporting small producers and quality local produce and products from diverse cultures.
The development of the Good Market programme depends on intensive cooperation with the local community, neighbours, establishments and organisations in the neighbourhood, so each market is specific and tailored to the location.
As part of this edition, you can see the exhibition and performance Prayer for a Better Future, angels on stilts, taste kosher food, shop at the children’s Good Market, listen to the church choir or Funny Fellows or even experience Hanukkah and the Mazel Tov Festival and much more. See the entire program HERE (Slovak only).

Cultural institutes, galleries or bookshops will open their doors and prepare a special programme. When selecting vendors, the market organisers focus on diversity, authenticity, uniqueness. They are looking for original products made in Slovakia.
A good market leaves behind a great mood, pride in their neighbourhood and a tidy space.
The event is waste-free, only compostable utensils are used, and volunteers honestly sort the waste.
