Stefano Guzzetti
Stefano Guzzetti is an Italian pianist and composer, with several tours in the US, Europe and Japan, and more than 32 million plays on music platforms. He is a major composer and performer on the international modern classical scene. He is comfortable with both classical electronic and modern music.
He has worked for the designers Dolce & Gabbana, who chose his music as the backdrop for the 2017 D&G show conducted by Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore. In 2018, he performed for the same brand in New York at Dolce & Gabbana – High Jewelry, an event hosted by actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
For one of the most important book publishers in Italy, Einaudi has created the sound design and accompanying music for several book trailers (Haruki Murakami, Francesco Abate), in 2019 Deutsche Grammophon included his composition 1983 on the high profile compilation album XII.
The Fleurs selection celebrates 10 years of his musical career and includes a collaboration with legendary singer Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance, Golden Globe Award for the soundtrack to the film Gladiator). His next project was the soundtrack to Eddie & Dunny with Gabriel Luna (Terminator: Dark Fate, The Last of Us) and Joanna Vanderham (The Runaway), directed by Desmond Devendish.
He also composed the music for six episodes of the television series Ghost Hotel, which also starred writer Michela Murgia. The series was launched by Sky Arte in January 2022. He has worked with the well-known British label Mute Records, which releases records of musical legends such as Depeche Mode, Nick Cave and Bed Seeds, New Order and Fad Gadget.
The backdrops of his concerts have been several impressive locations, such as the ancient stone buildings of Nuraga in Sardinia.
Stefano Guzzetti will perform in Slovakia for the first time. The concert is part of the 24th Week of Italian Language and Culture in the World.
Admission is free until the capacity of the venue is full
The concert will take place in the Klarisky concert hall. This is the former Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which has been used for cultural purposes since 1940. The Church was consecrated in 1913. Relics were taken from its altars. In 1963 it was declared a cultural monument.
The premises of the former church enhance the concert experience not only thanks to its exceptional acoustics, but also thanks to its unconventional setting. The number of spectators (seats) is limited to 200.
