Roger and the Pacemaker + Bratislavský improvizačný orchester

Roger and the Pacemaker are a punk improv duo – Seijiro Murayama and Roger Fähndrich were born in 1957 and 1982 respectively. The former played with Keiji Hain at a time when the latter was improvising walking. They say of themselves, “We don’t make music, but we play rehearsal concerts using voice, drums, electric guitar and lyrics.”

Another concert set in the same unpredictable vein will provide an always different and always surprising performance by the cast of A4’s variable resident ensemble, the Bratislava Improvisation Orchestra. A loose group of musicians playing both acoustic and electronic instruments, the orchestra is dedicated to free and controlled improvised music of various forms.
