NEW YEAR’S EVE RUN THROUGH BRATISLAVA’S BRIDGES
The popular running event New Year’s Eve Run through the Bratislava Bridges is returning to the running calendar.
They will run across four bridges: after the start, they will run to Prístavný most, then along Prístavná Street to the Apollo Bridge, and after running from it, along the Danube embankment on the Petržalá side, the runners will reach the Old Bridge (they will run over it twice/there and back) , from it you run along the Viennese road and the embankment on the Petržalska side to the Lanfranconi Bridge and from there to the destination at the FTVŠ UK campus. The entire track measures approximately 11 km.
On New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2024, it starts at 10 a.m. at the University of Economics in Bratislava-Petržalka. The finish line will be on the running oval of the stadium in the sports complex of FTVŠ UK.
The participant limit is 1500 runners plus children’s runs. The time limit for completing the main run is 1:30 h from the start.
In addition to adults, children will also have the chance to run, the organizers have prepared three categories. The youngest up to 6 years old will run one 350 m long circuit near the Lanfranconi Bridge, 7 to 10-year-old children will tackle two circuits and a 700 m long track, and teenagers aged 11 to 15 years are waiting 1050 meters.
