Do you know what “Dožinky” are?

Harvest festivals used to be celebrated at the end of the summer, a celebration associated with thanksgiving for the crops we’ve grown and prayers for an even more bountiful harvest next year.

Harvest festivals were associated with fun, food, drink and music. The main symbols of the harvest were the harvest wreath or the straw dumpling from the last sheaf.

You can learn more about these traditions at this event!

Admission is free!
