Mat213 + Zdena

Mat213 is heading on tour with the new album Nesu oheň. After November’s sold-out concerts in Prague and Brno, he is leaving for other cities. According to Mat213, this album is for people who sit on the bench and drink alcohol just to get drunk. They’re smarter than their friends who make a lot of money, but comfort puts a damper on their ambition. The album is for people who have tried to take themselves seriously, but either can’t or are just plain embarrassed by the idea. The album is for all the trolls loved by Mat. “I don’t want to do new, boundary-breaking things that no one has seen or heard. I want to do things that everyone has seen and heard, but I want to do them my way.” This arrogantly self-confident statement goes hand in hand with the effort to make popular music more for “the people”. “It’s a nasty condescending attitude, which I try to moderate with false modesty. It is disguised as self-awareness,” says Mat213.

Mat213 first drew attention to himself with the track 7teen, which won both the Apollo and Vinyl awards. The album Nesu oheň is already the sixth in a row within his projects. When mixing the album, he teamed up with Martin Hoffer (Skyline, EMA Prague) and Lukáš Turza (SNAP Mastering). The album was released by Championship Music.
