Christmas Cverna Market 2024
The Christmas Cverna Market is a local art and design market – offering the best of the work of the local studios in Nová Cvernovka, as well as other vendors with local, nature-friendly design. You can also look forward to tasty gastro, a full-day cultural programme and interactive workshops.
The Cverna market event started with the idea of showing mainly work from the studios and giving space to the creatives from the New Cverna. Over time, however, external brands and vendors have also found space here, appealing especially to families with children or people with a creative spirit. Creative workshops have become a specific feature of the event and it will be no different now.
On the last Saturday in November, all the shops, bakeries, showrooms and bookstores of the Nová Cvernovka will be open!
If you are interested in contemporary culture and art, you should not miss a visit to the most important local cultural and creative centre when exploring Bratislava.
The Christmas Cverna Market will showcase and sell the work of Slovak designers, artists or friendly local brands, plus a full-day cultural programme, workshops, and a special gastro.
Come for original gifts before the pre-Christmas madness and panic overwhelms everyone around you. There will be – as every year – a rich accompanying programme, quality gastronomy and lots of interesting workshops.
Admission: 5€ / discounted 2€ (children up to 6 years old, Ukrainians, students, pensioners, disabled)
The cultural and creative centre Nová Cvernovka is located in a former school building at Račianska 78, 15 minutes by tram from the centre of Bratislava.
The building houses 132 art and creative studios. You’ll also find a shop selling prints and other art products by local artists, a children’s clothing store by local artisans, a bookstore, and artists’ showrooms. The center includes a bistro, a bar, an excellent artisan pastry shop and cafe, a coworking space, a nightclub, and a theater room.
Nová Cvernovka provides a variety of cultural and educational programs year-round in a variety of areas: music, visual arts, literature, film, theater, and multi-genre activities.
