The Swan Lake
Will love break the curse of the swan? The most famous classical ballet in four acts.
Classical ballet by Peter I. Tchaikovsky’s The Swan Lake is undeniably the most famous ballet title of the world repertoire and the most frequently performed ballet title on the domestic stage.
After a number of traditional and also not-so-traditional productions, the repertoire of the Slovak National Theatre Ballet will be complemented by Rudolf Nureyev’s famous version.
The show entered the Guinness Book of World Records thanks to the seemingly endless applause on the opening night. The iconic swan dances, grand choral scenes and dazzling pas de deux are a dazzling showcase of challenging dance techniques. The spectacular new stage and costume design for the tale of the Swan Princess has been created by the sought-after designer Jordi Roig.
