Europe Day in Bratislava
Celebrate the symbolic birthday of the EU, come to the Velvet Revolution Square and to the Old Market Hall for a day dedicated to the old continent
Look forward to Europe Day celebrations in Bratislava on 9 May with various partners including two café Európa discussions on the EU as a peace project and the EU and agricultural sustainability, both linked to the war in Ukraine. A theatre performance tackling disinformation and migration and musical performance with Ukrainian musicians and a Slovak DJ will be a part of the manifold programme.
Europe Day commemorates the signing of the ‘Schuman Declaration’ on 9 May 1950. An ambitious plan to secure long-term peace in post-war Europe that is considered the beginning of what is now the European Union. So come to celebrate the Europe Day.
