Erwin Wurm. The Artist Begging for Mercy
Focus of the exhibition of Erwin Wurm in Bratislava is on his most extensive and world-famous One Minute Sculptures series
Witty, but also bitingly ironic comments of Erwin Wurm on the state of civilization are visually unusually appealing, but at the same time they open up a space for discussions about values, art and culture. It has been a long time since Bratislava had the opportunity to visit a large-scale exhibition of such a star of world art.
Curator Aurel Hrabušický talks about the exhibition:“Today is a time of crossing borders in all directions in art, but Wurm managed to do something unique – a strong artistic gesture that can appeal to a wide audience to the extent that it sometimes even penetrates the world of pop culture. Thus it co-creates the visual horizon of our civilization.”
The exhibition ends on Sunday, January 29. At three in the afternoon, curator Aurel Hrabušický will guide you through the exhibition. Entry to the closing of the exhibition is free.
