Pedal cars race for kindergartens. Unconventional, original and cute
All these attributes fit to the race called 100 Bratislava meters. This race will be held on Friday, July 1 at the Main Square and Hviezdoslav Square in Bratislava.
Little contestants will be encouraged by parents as well as visitors. This is a race of kindergarteners from the Old Town, who must get to the finish as quickly as possible, by running in pedal cars of limited editions. The race is part of a larger veterans race 500 Slovak kilometres.
The start of the race is on the Main Square. After the start, all vehicles included in the particular races will take the road. A marked and bounded route will lead along the Rybárska brána Street. The finish of the race is on Hviezdoslav Square, whilst the winner is the racer who is the first to cross the finish line. Competitors take one training ride and then four regular rides.
Registered little racers can report themselves for the race as early as 3 p.m. Presenting the selected competitors to the race itself will take place on Hviezdoslav Square in front of the National Theatre building. One hour later, the training rides of the pedal cars will begin. The pedal cars will be brought by a special pedal tow truck. Selected competitors representing individual kindergartens will train for the race with accompanying commentary, including on-line live streaming on the screens.
At 5 p.m., the race itself will start. There will be four rides followed by the final fifth with a commented course. At 6 p.m., the winners of the race will be announced. They will receive the winning crystal cups. However, all participants of the race will be awarded. An award ceremony for the parents of the race winner and for the winning kindergarten will follow.
The first two racers from each regular ride advance to the final ride, which is already about the cups. The first in the finish wins the race 100 Bratislava meters and becomes an absolute winner. The winner of the whole race will win one pedal car from the limited series ŠKODA MB 1000 – 500 Slovak kilometres for its kindergarten and other valuable prizes. The driver/racer him/herself will win valuable prizes and A ŠKODA ENYAQ iV for the weekend for his family. On this day at 6:45 p.m. the winners of the 500 Slovak kilometres race will also be announced.
