Ryley Walker & Balázs Pándi, Bratislavský Improvizačný Orchester

American guitarist, singer-songwriter and musician Ryley Walker and versatile Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi have been close friends for more than a decade, but now they’ve met on stage instead of in nightclub toilets, old 2pac graffiti on the walls and hanging out in bars. An important commonality between these two musicians, who are connected in many ways, is that they both talk openly about their struggles with addiction and stories of recovery, which intersect in an improvisational concert that is expected to be all extremes.

Plus an always different and always surprising performance by the A4’s ever-changing resident ensemble, the Bratislava Improvisation Orchestra. The ensemble consists of a loose group of musicians playing both acoustic and electronic instruments, dedicated to freely improvised music of various forms.
