Mária Čorejová: Kresby… a obsahy

Solo exhibition of visual artist Maria Čorejová, whose works reflect contemporary social and political themes through drawing, graphics and intermedia overlaps. The project Drawings…and Contents includes a selection of several series of ink and digital drawings (from the years 2021 – 2024). The main theme is nature, its celebration, but also a critique of its destruction caused by human activity. In addition to this theme, the project also deals with the decay and disintegration of the cultural and architectural heritage of Slolven, which is closely linked to nature. Over the centuries, it has formed a harmonious harmony with it. Churches, altars, chapels, pyramids have always been there on the one hand to protect people and on the other hand (how is it possible that) they have been able to bring us so much sorrow and grief thanks to the „mission“ for which they were destined by the people. How is it possible that mankind is able to create such beauty and at the same time use it to dictate evil… these and similar questions are also asked by the author.
