Kate Grishakova: When the dreams come true

Kate Grishakova is a painter. She has been painting since her childhood and can’t imagine life without art. She works with watercolour and oil, capturing colourful natural scenery and cityscapes. This exhibition is about her journey – a journey towards a dream. It will take place from 18 February to 9 March at Umelka.

Dreams are meant to come true, and only people themselves are responsible for that. As Paulo Coelho wrote: „When you desire something very much, the whole universe comes together to make it happen.“ The author of the exhibition recalls the exact moment when she arrived at the art school and met her teacher Vladimir Potapov. He was an older gentleman, but full of energy, inspiration, ideas and art. He told them a lot about his life, about how he became a member of the art union. And then Kate said to herself that one day she would be like him – she would paint, teach painting and become a member of the Art Union. Now those dreams have come true for her. And so the author bequeaths to visitors: „Dream! And never stop dreaming! Your wishes will surely come true. „
