Spring Festival at Devín Castle on 12 April – a programme full of fun for young and old.

For the little ones there will be an egg hunt, an interactive map with tasks and a guided tour during which children will discover the secrets of the castle and take away a sweet reward. Together with the Broz Association**, children will be immersed in the world of grazing, discover the role of sheep in the castle and even have the chance to pet them.

For those who love to take pictures, there is a photo competition for the most interesting photo with a sheep, in which there will be the chance to win beautiful prizes.

Stalls with local and historical products and tasty refreshments have not been forgotten either. There won’t be a shortage of honest currants at the fair either.

A day full of unique spring atmosphere in one of the most beautiful historical places in Slovakia. Suitable for the whole family, friends and loved ones. The event is held in cooperation with the Bratislava-Devín Municipality.

 
Programme:

• 10:00 – Opening of the gates
• 10:30 – Castle Egg Hunt: An Easter adventure full of fun and sweet surprises. The Castle Egg Hunt will be divided into two zones to be enjoyed by both young and old explorers. For the little ones, there will be a safe and easy zone where they can fully enjoy the joy of discovery. Older children will go on an adventurous hunt around the Devín Castle grounds, where eggs can hide in the most unexpected places. Children are advised to remember – dexterity, quick feet and keen eyes will definitely come in handy.
• 12:00 – Map full of secrets: an adventure expedition across Devín Castle. With an interactive map full of exciting challenges and fascinating facts, guests will follow the trail of secrets hidden in its nooks and crannies. All you need is a pencil, a sharp mind and the courage to explore. It is said that those who solve all the riddles will unlock a treasure chest with a sweet surprise.
• 14:00 – Grazing on Devín: An interesting lecture on grazing and sheep breeding, where visitors will learn about their important role in the life of Devín Castle. They will find out, among other things, why sheep and other animals are an integral part of this historical place. And don’t be afraid, brave children can not only see the sheep, but also pet them.
• Take a photo with a sheep and win : Throughout the day there is a competition for the most interesting photo with sheep. All contestants have to do is tag MMB on Instagram/Facebook @muzeummestabratislavy or send their photos to hrad.devín@mmb.sk to be automatically entered into the competition for
  great prizes, such as a season pass to MMB exhibitions.
