COČ 2024: Cez nekonečné momenty blednúcich snov ti noc o chvíľu predĺžim
Collective exhibition of the winners of the Oscar Čepan Prize 2024 entitled Through the endless moments of fading dreams I’ll prolong the night for a while. Kvet Nguyen, Svetlana Fialová and Paula Malinowska will present their works. Sixty three artists have applied for the Oscar Čepan Prize 2024, which represents the highest number ever in the 28 years of the project’s existence. The diversity of the submitted creative outputs reflects the current and constantly evolving discourse of contemporary visual art. The international jury included Erin Li (CHN/HK), curator at Delfina Foundation in London, focusing on live art and culture; Amira Gad (EG/FR), independent curator based at KANAL – Centre Pompidou in Brussels, with previous experience at Serpentine Galleries in London; Piotr Sikora (PL/CZ), curator in residence at MeetFactory in Prague, inspired by sauna culture, mycology and kitsch; and Lilia Kudelia (UA/USA), curator of the Young Visual Artists Award program in New York and art historian based in Texas.
The exhibition is realized by the Oskar Čepan Award team in close cooperation with the Pistori Palace in Bratislava.
