Bratislavský dobový piknik

Lovers of history and stylish clothes will once again spread out their colourful blankets and picnic baskets on the green meadows of the Janek Kráľ Orchard. This time the picnic will focus on the period 1900-1950.

Grandma’s blankets, picnic baskets, thermos with coffee, badminton or clay balls. For many, a long-forgotten nostalgia of the past, when people still had „time for everything“. The organisers of the second Bratislava Period Picnic want to go back in time and set it in the years of the first half of the last century, in the oldest public park in Central Europe, the Janek Kráľ Park.

In the shade of the trees or directly in the sun, guests will be able to listen to music from this era – from the C. and K. Orchestra, the Traditional & Revival Band and the Fats Jazz Band. With family, friends and loved ones, they’ll be able to enjoy the day like a photo in motion, based in an old book, with everyone happy and laughing.

There will also be craft demonstrations, a First Republic fashion show, a dance workshop, a children’s playroom, and stalls selling treats or handmade products.
