Bratislava has a new leader in its tourism efforts, as Nina Erneker takes on the role of chairwoman at Bratislava Tourist Board, the city’s official destination marketing organization.

With deep experience in marketing Bratislava as a first-class business events destination, Erneker leads into this new position with a rich background and many ideas on development in tourism and the business events sector in Bratislava.

Bratislava Tourist Board, the city’s destination marketing organization, plays a key role in boosting the visibility of the Slovak capital both for leisure travellers and international business events. As the primary organization behind Bratislava’s Convention Bureau (CVB), the Board is responsible for positioning the city as an attractive meeting and conference hub in Central Europe.

In a recent interview, Nina Erneker, at that time leader of the Bratislava Convention Bureau, highlighted the importance of adaptability and resilience, qualities that have proven crucial in event management. Reflecting on Covid times, Erneker noted that while digital events have gained prominence, the return of live or “onlive” events was something both clients and industry professionals eagerly anticipated. She believes that the future of events will require a renewed focus on attendee interaction, creativity, and sustainability.

“I’m excited to explore new ideas and partnerships that will help showcase Bratislava’s unique charm and potential. I look forward to working with a great team headed by Lukas Pucovsky, our newly appointed Managing Director,” Erneker said, expressing her enthusiasm for the role.

Her appointment marks a new chapter in Bratislava’s ongoing efforts to become a premier destination for both leisure and business travellers.
