A GASTRONOMIC ICON OF BRATISLAVA
When talking about the staple gastronomic institution in Bratislava, it is impossible not to mention the Bratislava Flagship Restaurant. When visiting the Slovakian capital, tasting typical Slovakian dishes in this restaurant is a must. The venue hosts events, too, and even houses a dedicated Golden Lane room, where guests can sample delicacies and discover how Bratislava has changed over a century.
A divine beer experience in the heart of Bratislava
Bratislava is home to 16 breweries. One of them is Kláštorný Pivovar in the Old Town. “We had wanted to have our own brewery from the very beginning, but we had no location,” said Martina Hlinová, owner and manager of two well-known restaurants in Bratislava – the Slovak Pub and the Flagship Restaurant. After the bankruptcy of the brewery that originally made beer for them, they decided to build a brewery in the baroque cellars below the Flagship Restaurant. Visitors of the Bratislava Flagship Restaurant can taste the beer during their dinner or lunch.
The restaurant has a capacity of 450 seats on three floors in the interior and additional seats on two outdoor terraces. The restaurant focuses on traditional Prešpor cuisine and draws inspiration from traditional recipes and beer delicacies. Sourcing local ingredients is at the heart of the restaurant’s philosophy: their menu features their beer from Kláštorný Pivovar, while dishes are made from organic farm products from their Biofarm Radosť Stupava operation, where they prepare high-quality and fresh delicacies. Guests can also taste homemade bread, loaves, sheep cheese and other Slovak specialities.
