Between 24 and 26 October 2023, the Slovakian capital will host the 2023 European Alliance for Innovation: Smart Life Summit at the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel Bratislava. Attendees will learn the impact of AI on the economy and why security is a crucial part of innovation. The event will host renowned speakers and provide many opportunities to exchange know-how.

Professor Dagmar Caganova, one of the key summit organisers, has been proactively involved in bringing the event to Slovakia. At Smart Life Summit, attendees will dive into a dynamic program featuring keynote speeches from industry experts, hands-on technical tracks, and panel discussions on the latest smart technologies and trends. Participants will explore how innovation will shape the future and gain actionable insights to elevate their smart living experience.

Making research and innovation work for smart life

The European Alliance for Innovation: Smart Life Summit is a space that connects the best minds and most influential stakeholders from all fields contributing to the landscape of a better tomorrow.

Highlights of the Summit

In addition to conferences, participants can expect intriguing keynote speeches and panel discussions. EAI is honoured to host the former commissioner of the U.S. House Committee on Commerce, Harold Furchtgott-Roth, who will share his expertise on economy and communications. Likewise, Peter Van Gorp from the Eindhoven University of Technology will share his findings and research on digital health platforms. The topic of cyber security will be covered by Sanjay Goel from the University of Albany – State University of New York School of Business Information Security and Digital Forensics. In addition, the American computer scientist Ian Goodfellow, who stands behind the development of generative adversarial networks (GAN) in the world’s largest innovative institutions, including Google, Apple, Open AI, and DeepMind, will attend. There will also be notable Slovak representatives, including Ivan Mikloš and Zuzana Mikulášová from the expert platform Brand Slovakia 30.

Bright Young Minds

This year is also the first for introducing talented young academics to the summit who can qualify via the essay competition ‘Bright Young Minds’. The winners will be offered the chance to attend some of the most high-level EAI tracks with full costs reimbursed. In addition, they will have the opportunity to grow professionally under the mentorship of Professor Imrich Chlamtac, a Slovak-born academic and president of EAI, as well as other fellows and members of the honorary board.
