Selection from the Program of Bratislava City Days
We have selected several interesting events for you that you should not miss in Bratislava on this special weekend.
Start your city days by opening the city gates, go on one of the tours and sail the Propeller between the banks of the Danube. If you’d like, city organizations have prepared another unique program throughout the weekend.
Music is in the air…
…and also on many stages throughout the whole weekend and for free. Get to know the local vibes: Let yourself be carried away by retro music! Nostalgic noisy tones of swing, foxtrot or Slovak tango from the 30s and 40s will be mixed by a DJ duo Gramophone Brothers spinning original shellac records.
Don’t forget to enjoy an exceptional DJ set in the courtyard of the Mirbach Palace GMB, which this time will be hosted by passionate record collector Adam Kvasnica. Do not hesitate to stop by and experience a unique musical experience.
Or listen to the unusually engaging voice and speech of the young Bratislava singer Tamara Karamar, who will close the cultural program of the city festival on the Main Square.
Fénix Garden
On Saturday evening a Czech art group V.O.S.A. will light up Hviezdoslav Square. Theater. You can look forward to an interactive light installation, live singing, but also light and acrobatic performances.
Weekend of open buildings
During both festival days, you can look into more than 20 historical buildings or interesting Bratislava spaces and thus discover the city. The tours will take you to 20 special places that are not usually open for the public.
Do book a spot on the tour at www.bratislavskemestskedni.sk.
Sport and ecology
In addition to a number of cultural events, various sports activities await you during the Bratislava City Days. In the Janko Kráľ Park, you can play frisbee, try skateboarding or parkour, complete a small and a large indigenous cycling circuit or work out with professional trainers at Cvička.
Silent Disco
Can you hear that silence? This is a DJ battle between SIGNATE and MATEY in a non-traditional setting. You decide what your evening will look like. DJs will play two different styles for you at the same time. What will you choose? The atmosphere of a club party or will you be drawn into the vortex of festival euphoria?
Among other things, there is also a bar waiting for you in front of former church – Klarisky with great drinks.
Community table and gastro zones
Apart from the monthly Streetfood Park you can find street food and other goodies at three other places around Bratislava, all close to the city center. In the oldest park in the central Europe Sad Janka Kráľa you will find churros and fries for example, in the newly refurbished park at Račianske mýto there will be another gastro zone and the highlight is community table with a food zone, where you can bring your own food at Primaciálne Square. Oh, and do not miss Craft Beer Festival.
