The Bořek Šípek Gallery

The Bořek Šípek Gallery would like to invite you to a rare event featuring unique art and utility glass designed by Bořek Šípek. This world renowned Czech architect, designer and glass designer opened several galleries throughout the world. His works can be found in New York, Paris, Lyon, Amsterdam, Tokyo, London, Beirut, Barcelona, Bangkok, Milan, Shanghai and other galleries and museums.  In 2014, he personally opened the Bořek Šípek Gallery in Bratislava, one of his newest and the only one in Slovakia.

The Gallery exhibits original glass objects which carry a piece of Šípek’s soul and character.  Glass designed by Bořek Šípek is a story that combines originality, extravagance, grace, luxury and outstanding quality which enhances everything. Even after the artist’s death in 2016, the Gallery continues to work with glassworks which are currently managed by his son Dalibor and which continues to produce glass according to his father’s original designs.

It is full of vases, bowls and small utility glass items from the Shelf Collection which visitors can admire and even purchase. Each item is handmade and unique. Owning such an object means having a family inheritance of supreme quality in your home.
